Senator style, particularly in Nigeria was originally common among the people of Igbo's and her Niger-Delta region.

Remarkably, this traditional attire was firstly appreciated and known to be worn by a senator. (Senator Anyim Pius Anyim to be precise).

He was the President of the Nigerian Senate from 2000 to 2003. This is how the brand name 'Senator outfit' came into existence and gained popularity among other native attires.

Its design is derived from a combination of native styles and western art which is made from different materials. Unlike the native styles which are made with Akwete fabric, ankara fabrics, etc, the Senator cloth design is made from a western suit material.
